Main themes
Presentation of the important historical phases of urban development: Antiquity, the Orient, Africa and America, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Modernity, 19th century, 20th century, by type and by country or group of countries, according to its constitutive parts (plans - volumes - public spaces, etc.).
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Students will acquire knowledge on the evolution of urban development from Antiquity to the 21st century. They will learn how to analyse and identify an urban morphology and its constitutive parts.
