At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
| 1 | At the end of this course, the student will be capable to read, transliterate and translate short texts at a basic level of difficulty. To achieve this goal, he will master the alphabet, the reading and writing of Arabic. He will acquire a basic vocabulary and get familiar with the first mechanisms and structures of the language (morphology and syntax). |

Teaching methods
Each lesson will be given in two steps: a first theoretical part consisting of explanations of the Arabic grammar, followed by practical exercises (mainly translations) based on the vocabulary studied for the week.

Evaluation methods
The exam will be divided into two parts: a written part, being a translation of an Arabic text into French, and an oral part.
