Main themes
In-depth study of classical Latin grammar.
This course deals with following issues:
1. Morphology (advanced level);
2. Basic structures of Latin syntax (complementary clauses, function and use of nominal verb forms);
3. Personal analysis and translation of a Latin prose text (cursory reading).
The exercises are devoted to syntax, prose composition and translation from Latin. There are also special exercises intended to morphological and lexical training.

At the end of this course, the student will have mastered the basic rules of the verbal syntax of classical Latin, and will have perfected his knowledge of its morphology and vocabulary. |
