Skills and objectives:
To master epidemiological transition theories and key concepts of public health
To compare epidemiological transitions in the world
To acquire knowledge of data sources and indicators of morbidity and mortality
To acquire knowledge of information systems and strategies of observation and research in public health (case-control, prospective and experimental studies)
To acquire knowledge of the evolution of the main pathologies in the global North and South
To master epidemiological transition theories and key concepts of public health
To compare epidemiological transitions in the world
To acquire knowledge of data sources and indicators of morbidity and mortality
To acquire knowledge of information systems and strategies of observation and research in public health (case-control, prospective and experimental studies)
To acquire knowledge of the evolution of the main pathologies in the global North and South
Teaching methods
The course alternates methodological and thematic presentations on major public health issues.
Evaluation methods
Intermediate works are requested as well as a final report on a health problem in a population chosen by the students with their professors' advice.
