Main themes
Through the analysis of texts or representative theatrical events, lessons propone a synthetic route into French language theater from the Middle Ages to the Revolution. Continuities and ruptures are highlighted under tree perspective: dramaturgic, aesthetic and historical. Various issues will be deepened, according to eras discussed and analyzed texts.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Students will be required to place the major authors and main movements in the history of the French theatre, and identify connections with the big names of theatre around the world.
