Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 o The course re-visits micro and macro economic concepts, illustrated via the Belgian economic situation, with a time- (last decades, not to say centuries) and space- perspective (comparison with other European countries or groups of countries according to the theme). o It is thus more a course of general culture for the application of economic concepts aiming a better un-derstanding of the Belgian (and European) economic situation - No new theoretical corpus.

o Growth and growth theories o Technical progress and the " New Economy " o Employment and unemployment o Wages constitution o Regional issue (economic situation of Wallony and of the Flanders, transfers…) o Globalisation and external trade … Method: - Theoretical reminders followed by a historical and space perspective
