Content
The introduction to practical theology will take place in four phases. It will begin by questioning the status of the experience of faith (1). The first stage will enable us to discover the stakes of pastoral / practical theology today and its method (2), as well as its history (3) and the reference texts (4). The present situation will then be studied in order to better understand how to proclaim the gospel today: Church and society, 'liquid modernity', post-Christianity, culture and faith, pluralism, individualism, crisis of transmission (5). Finally, some questions of practical theology will be addressed (6).
Evaluation methods
Students will be evaluated on the basis of three exercises:
- an analysis of testimony of faith, during the course, grade 1/20;
- field observation, with reports and analysis, grade 11/20;
- an oral presentation of this study, highlighting the knowledge acquired in the course, integrating the study of normative dimensions (resources taken from part B of the course: Introduction to Canon Law) grade 8/20.
