Main themes
This seminar will deal with different kinds of methodologies and concepts in Dutch linguistics research. The students should take an active part during the lectures about recent researchs on Dutch linguistics or on the basis of reading of scientific literature.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

At the end of the seminar, students should have developed insight into the research methods in different areas of Dutch (applied) linguistics. They should be able to formulate research hypotheses and to develop research methods / strategies to verify these hypotheses.

Content
The seminar deals with the topics of Dutch (applied) linguistics via lectures, reading of scientific articles, presentations, and discussions.

The evaluation will be based on students' active involvement in the seminar. It will also involve an oral presentation on a topic of their choice in relation to the themes of the seminar.
