Main themes
The student will participate in the research activities within a pre-determined team for a total of 200 hours minimum. The topic of research will be defined in agreement with the titular professor(s) and, if appropriate, with the promoter of the master thesis. The student will report his activities into a laboratory diary and will present his work under the form of a written report at the end of the first year of the master program.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 At the end of the course the successful student will be able to... The aim of this activity is to allow the student to initiate a research project or to take part in an ongoing project within the research team in which he will be integrated. The student will learn the basic steps of conducting a scientific experiment: hypothesis definition, protocol design, data gathering and treatment, statistical analyses and written presentation of preliminary research results.
