Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :
1	Introduction to the economic and social role of business and the main management principles, with an application to financial management, and the organization and planning of production processes and projects.

Clas room discussion with case studies.

Evaluation methods

The final grade is based on the written analysis of a case study, where students (in groups of 3 to 4) apply the main topics of the course.

Le cours se déroule en quatre demi-journées; trois thèmes principaux sont développés : 1. La fonction d'entreprise: rôle économique et social de l'entreprise; l'entreprise et ses partenaires; l'entreprise à travers ses états financiers; la structure financiere et les risques de l'entreprise; étude de cas. 2. La gestion financière de l'entreprise: les modes de financement de l'entreprise; la décision d'investir; étude de cas. 3. Organisation, production et logistique de l'entreprise: organisation et planification de l'entreprise; méthodes d'organisation de la production; la gestion de projets; la gestion des flux, la production "en flux tendus", l'organisation flexible; la relation entre la fonction R & D et la production; étude de cas.
