At the end of this course, the student will be able:

- to identify the nature, goals and actors of pastoral care;

- to use the necessary tools to describe, analyze and evaluate pastoral practices;

- to articulate ecclesiology, pastoral theology and canon law.

According to the Bachelor's Degree in Religious Sciences:

·  A. to master the knowledge to explain Christianity in its cultural environment according to theological disciplines;

·  A.2. to understand and explain the Christian theological tradition in its major theoretical currents by contextualising them;

·  B. to use appropriate concepts to develop theological reflection;

·  B.1. to know the notions proper to theology and its epistemology;

·  B.4. to perceive the complementarity of the theological disciplines of positive theology, systematic theology and practical theology;

·  C. to properly use the tools for rigorous reflection and research in theology.

·  C.1. to know the diversity of methods of analysis and research used in theology;

·  D. to develop personal theological reflection and critical thinking;

·  D.1. to draft a reflection on a theological question using different disciplines and methods of theology;

·  D.3. to distinguish between the theological analysis of an issue or situation and a commonsense analysis.
