This course addresses students with a good command of Latin
Main themes
The course includes the following topics:
- Introduction to codicology;
- Handwritten copy of Latin texts and textual transmission issues;
- Ancient and medieval Latin writings;
- Practical training in reading Latin manuscripts (reading exercices);
- Theoretical and practical training in editing Latin texts.

Content
Each section of the course will be divided into two stages: the first one being a lecture (theoretical teaching and the second one a series of practical exercises.
Teaching methods
Part of the course consists of lectures (theoretical explanations). The remainder consists of practical exercises.

Oral examination and a written work.
