Enhancement of Spanish writing skills.
Teaching methods
The methodology is based on the cognitive strategies (the documentary search of parallel texts), the metacognitive strategies (allow the translation's description to go beyond the result in order to incorporate the cognitive process) and the compared translations.

Practical translation work to find meaning and wording similarities within the original text. The student should avoid to 'fall under the grip of his dictionary' while translating.
Compare his or her point of view to the other students' in order to pass a critical judgement.

Apply the practices of the Journalism and International Institutions Style Guides.

Individual marking.

Evaluation methods
Written exam at the end of the quarter, in two parts. During the first part, students won't be allowed dictionaries. However, during the second part, they will have open internet access. All in all, the exam will last 2.5 hours. Comments will be written in the footnote so as to validate the translator's terminological choice.
The final grade takes practical work and active involvement in account (20 %).
