Content
Translation of geopolitical texts in professional situation, introduction on the topic, technical explanations and comments, documentary, terminological and phraseological research, group work management, translation, merging, proofreading and terminological consistency of the final product. Production of a translation the content, phrasing and qual16:16 29/08/2017ty of which prove useful for and acceptable to a specialized professional.
Teaching methods
Acquisition and consolidation of the professional skills and competences. Teaching and learning how to manage and translate texts with various types of technical content, difficulty levels, lengths, and linguistic or redactional quality. The course unfolds in both presential (theory, mission description, Q&A, corrections) and non-presential modes (search for terminology/phraseology, practical exercises, project finalisation).
Evaluation methods
Continuous certificational evaluation based on the works carried out in class. The final mark is an average of all marks obtained during this course according to the AA of the TU. September exam : written translation on the topics dealt with in the course.
