The Specialised Translation Workshop in International Affairs is an initiation to the translation of international affairs texts from German into French. The aim of the course is to teach a translation method based on pre-translation (documentation, terminology), translation and post-translation tasks. This methodology will be acquired through a series of translation exercises (with and without CAT-tools) which will receive group and/or individual correction. The texts to be translated will be selected from the International Affairs section of the general press or from specialized publications and will cover one or several themes in the field of international affairs.
Teaching methods
In-class teaching. Active participation required.
 
Evaluation methods
During the term: formative assessment of the student's work.
In June: final assessment in the form of a written paper and oral exam.

-    Reading German and French texts about  international affairs
-    Articles and course material will be posted on the Moodle e-learning platform.
