At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

With the help of relevant working tools and making use of  appropriate methodologies, students will be capable of :
- describing the endogenous regional languages of Wallonia (Walloon, Picard, Gaumais, Champenois) from the perspective of their main formal characteristics;
- describing and analysing the linguistic attitudes and representations of speakers of the regional languages of Wallonia;
- analysing the future prospects of these languages and the challenges at stake.

Content
This course studies the endogenous regional languages of Wallonia with a three-part approach: historical, sociolinguistic and formal.
The course will present the main working tools available and introduce students to the methods of analysis appropriate for the internal and external study of regional languages.
