Main themes
This seminar is part of the scientific supervision carried out by the dissertation supervisor and is aimed at ensuring student autonomy in the writing of his dissertation. This activity will enable the student to  give regular reports on the state of advancement of his research within the scope of his dissertation and will enable the supervisor to give him relevant advice and comments.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

The object of this seminar is to develop the following competences of the student :
- be capable of defining a relevant research project within the framework of the Masters dissertation;
- master the principal methods of collecting and treating data to enable the successful realisation of the dissertation;
- correctly utilise epistemological, methodological and editorial propositions within the framework of the Masters dissertation.

Content
The required activities for the validation of the two credits are:
- individual or group sessions with the supervisor according  to the instructions given out during the month of October.
- a  workshop for training in the use of research tools to be held during the month of February, in particular the online resources of UCL, led by librarians responsible for research documentation.
