Content
Portfolio of texts and videos: the set texts range from historic/al sources to today's specialized literature and vary in language registers to include prose, speeches, poetry, songs, video scripts, ' from several target-language countries.
Teaching methods
- Training learners to become autonomous readers of authentic written documents
- Broadening the students' vocabulary scope
- Teaching key grammar points such as tenses, auxiliaries, connectives and the passive voice.
- Listening decoding strategies in a foreign language
- Role plays, debates, discussions
- English pronunciation and stress patterns.

Continuous assessment : 20%
January exam : 20 %
Written exam
Written exam (40%)
September exam
Students will not be exempted for a part of the exam. If you take the September exam, you have to re-do the written exam (70%) AND the oral exam (30%). Your continuous assessment mark will not be taken into account.
