Main themes
The pharmaceutical dosage forms that are produced include tablets gastroresistant capsules, parenteral dosage forms, sterile unguents, suppositories and aerosols. Controls include rheology, osmotic pressure, sterility tests as well as dissolution, desaggregation, friability of solide dosage forms.
Aims
The aim of these practical training is to form the students for the formulation, manufacturing and control of dosage forms produced in pharmacy and/or industry based on their knowledge in pharmaceutical technology.

Content
The course is based on the production and control of pharmaceutical dosage forms. The students will use the European Pharmacopeia and other reference books

Prerequisite: FARM2159 Pharmaceutical Technology Evaluation: based on the dosage forms produced and reports.
