- In order to achieve the objectives defined above, the instructor will combine grammatical and lexicographical explanations about NT Greek and practical exercises illustrating and developing the theoretical explanations. The student will be given biblical texts from the Gospels at as early a stage as possible.
By the end of this course, the student should be able: - to read easy texts of the NT in Greek, particularly of the Gospels; - to understand an exegetical argumentation developed on the Greek text of the NT

Content: Alphabet and reading; grammar (morphology: noun, pronoun and verb; syntax: elements); main vocabulary of NT Greek. Method: Teaching and exercises (translations from French to Greek, from Greek to French, analysis of grammatical forms) favouring comprehension and memorisation. The exercises are inspeired from texts of the NT.
The professor can exempt the students who will have made a success of the general knowledge test organized at the time of the first course.
