Main themes
To achieve the objectives set out above, the course deals with the following themes:
- presentation of the book of the OT
- geographical and historical frame of the old Israel
- keys to reading Pentateuch and the Deuteronomistic history
- basic introduction to the prophetic and sapiential literature of the OT
Aims
At the end of this module, the student will reach:
- place the essential marks on OT in its geographical and historical frame
- describe the thorough weft of the narrative books of the OT
- desbribe the major characteristics of the prophetic and sapiential literature of the OT
