During the oral examination in session, the student will defend his work and answer the questions on course content.defend their assignment.
The course is divided in a series of lectures given in Italian. For each lesson, the student will have to make personal readings on the content of the course: not only on the life and the complete works of the studied authors, but also on the theoretical studied concepts and notions.
We will study some classics of the contemporary Italian poetry (see below). We will follow a double methodology: first, the ways used by the poets to communicate with readers (communication, cognitive approaches, arguing, iconicity, conversational implicatures, etc.); second, the interpretative activities of readers.
' Il libro dei versi of Arrigo Boito
' L'Allegria of Giuseppe Ungaretti
' Ossi di seppia of Eugenio Montale
' Il Canzoniere of Umberto Saba.
' Anidride solforosa e Automobili of Roberto Roversi and Lucio Dalla (deux CD)
The student should bring a good edition of these texts and CD. These ones are available online (bol.it, libreriauniversitaria.it, iTunes and other websites).
To these "short story cycle", we will add:
' Parabole smorzate of Pietro De Marchi
' Geografia senza fiume of Anne Ruchat
These two classics of Italian literature are no longer marketed. Therefore they will be provided for the students.
