Main themes : Representative case studies: buildings, groups/blocks/assemblies, public places, specials buildings (walls, barracks, etc.). Definition of key words: conservation, monument, restoration, heritage. Roles of the art historian and architect.

Aims

Students will be made familiar with several themes of urban architecture and its history, and with notions related to heritage, restoration, and conservation of monuments. They will acquire knowledge allowing them to intervene as consultants in the field of restoration and conservation
