To have successfully followed the courses on the history of German literature in the Bachelor, and to show a strong interest in this area of research.
The content of the seminar depends on the research carried out in the unit and the licence dissertations undertaken by the students; it thus changes every year.
To give the students a chance to participate in a collective research project, to integrate a personal research project in this methodological framework, possibly in connection with the realisation of their master dissertation and other research activities.
The contribution of this Teaching Unit to the development and command of the skills and learning outcomes of the programme(s) can be accessed at the end of this sheet, in the section entitled “Programmes/courses offering this Teaching Unit”.
Continuous assessment of each student's participation in the seminar, completed by an assessment of the essay drawn from the results of the seminar.

This course will be principally based on questions of the methodology of research. Its content and modalities will vary according to the specific interests of the students.
Theoretical introduction: how to formulate an original questioning, build up a relevant bibliography, structure your work and making it autonomous, etc. Quite rapidly the student will present the results of his own research and contribute to a collective dynamics. The participation to an interuniversity seminar or to an international conference may be integrated to this dynamics.
