Main themes
The lessons describe the scope and the means used in order to enforce the Internal Market law (free movement of goods, of services, of persons and of capital) as well as the principles of the competition law and of the approximation of national legislative measures. Parts of the lessons are devoted to the legal aspects of the implementation of these policies (choice of the legal basis, definition of the scopes and the objectives of the action, choice of the adoption method of the Community act).
Aims
The lessons are devoted to the principles of the Community construction, to the characteristics of the community legal order and to the organization and the functioning of the European institutions, as well as to the organization and the achievements of the Council of Europe (notably the European convention on Human Rights) and of the OSCE.

- INSTITUTIONAL LAW: general theory of the European and national legal orders (the Council of Europe and the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, European Union, States and Regions). The general characteristics, the constitutive elements, the competences and the means of the European Union. The institutional system and the legal order (including the political and judicial control) of the European Union.
- SUBSTANTIVE LAW: the single market law (the four freedoms, competition law, fiscal matters, approximation of laws).
