Main themes
The following themes will be analysed: I. The social construction of the territory; local society, actors and local initiatives. II. Local development, social identities and gender relations. III. International migrations and development.
Aims
The seminar work should enable the student to check his/her own integration of the courses followed during the master and show his/her ability to analyse a specific theme linked to development studies. It should also enable to develop interdisciplinary research skills in team.

Other information
At least one of the two courses DVLP 2630 and DVLP 2631. The evaluation is based on a group research paper (70%). The 30% left represent each student contribution to the seminar dynamic and the oral presentation of the research paper (in the paper, the contribution of each group member has to be specified). Possible link between the seminar work and the field-work.
