Main themes
The teachers single out two or three issues ( like oil and water) and analyze the various dimensions of a natural resource (sociology, economy, geopolitics etc…) as well as the strategies of involved private and state actors. The words of appropriation of natural resources (land, water, minerals, etc.) and the conditions of collective action in the management of natural resources are given due attention.
Aims
The course provides the students a methodology to analyze questions related to the management of natural resources.
