Main themes To reach the aims, the seminar will: - address some methodological questions and selected areas where ethical analysis play a crucial role today - focus specifically on bounds between practical issues and the relevance of fundamental reflections - study with a particular interest the status of religious dimension in debates about values and norms.
Aims By the end of this seminar, the student will be able: - to make a research in the field of applied ethics - to use conceptual tools of current research in ethics - to communicate orally and by paper the results of his research.

2014-2015
Analysis of moral dilemmas
Dilemmas are at the heart of ethical reasoning. Difficult choices between contradictory obligations make us aware of the immense complexity of moral action. The seminar will combine theoretical and methodological approaches with concrete studies in different fields of applied ethics.
