The course of Political science

The course starts with the definition of the state and then analyzes several socio-political models from a theoretical and conceptual perspective (the unitary, federal and confederal state, the liberal and neo-liberal state, the socialist and social-democrat state, the corporatist and neo-corporatist state) and ends with the study of the transformations and the challenges faced by the state.

The objective of this course is threefold: theoretical (to understand the theoretical and philosophical foundations of the socio-political models of the state), conceptual (to identify and to explain the components of the socio-political models of the state) and empirical (to analyze contemporary states in their different socio-political models).
