Observation and teaching practice in french and latin : analysis and preparation [ LLAFR9002 ]

Students are required to take courses in teaching french, ancient languages and general teaching in parallel ; also LROM 9011 and LGLOR 9001

To adopt a critical stance towards the quality, organization and the connection with the preparation made during the active practice sessions (40 hours) with a view to improving them.

By the end of the practice periods, students will have demonstrated their ability to analyze their own teaching methods and adjust them.

Assessment of what students have achieved during the practice period is done by the supervisors using the criteria in the marking grid for observation sessions. Exemption from part of the teaching practice may be granted to students who are already teaching.

Having made contact with their supervisors, students must draw up the time scale in which they will submit their preparation work and discuss any necessary amendments. Supervisors retain the right to teach the lesson themselves should they judge the preparation to be insufficient.
