Prerequisites

Required : to have followed successfully at least one of the courses ARKE of the orientation « Archaeology of Egypt and Ancient Near East ».

Main themes

The student will choose a theme related to each one of the civilizations (Egypt and the Ancient Near East). The theme will be determined by the professors.

Aims

Advanced training of students who are interested in art and archaeology of Egypt and the Near East.

Evaluation methods

Oral examination at the end of the session (10 points), lecture by the student (seminars; 5 point) and personal taking part (5 points).

Teaching methods

The sessions will be prepared by the students, based on the reading of one or more articles of which the list twill be published at the beginning of the year.

Content

A new topic is discussed each year.

Bibliography

Depending of the chosen topic, a bibliography is provided at the beginning of the course.
