For each form, the principles of the formulation, the excipients, the methods of preparation and controls are approached.
|
Aims |
The aim of the course is to train the students to the formulation, manufacture and control of pharmaceutical dosage forms on the basis on the physicochemistry and bio-pharmacy knowledges acquired.
The topics detailed in course include liquid pharmaceutical and ophthalmic preparations, solid dosage forms (tablets and capsules for oral route, rectal forms, transdermal systems) as well as dispersed systems (emulsions with a special emphasis on dermatological forms, suspensions and aerosols including inhalers).
|
Content |
The course of pharmaceutics includes the formulation, manufacture and control of conventional pharmaceutical dosage forms. The course will be taught in auditorium.
A personal work of the student is required for the pharmaceutical calculations.
During the practical training, the student will prepare the most common preparations produced in pharmacy open to the public.
