Main themes
The course addresses key biochemical concepts and principles that control metabolic homeostasis in health an disease.
Aims
The students are expected to acquire a broad vision on biochemical concepts in health and disease. The training is meant to prepare the students to understand the biochemical grounds of disease.
Content
The course is a follow-up of the course on General Biochemistry (WBCHM1215) and Molecular Biology (WSBIM1202). The course is centered on 5 themes: (i) control of gene expression in disease, (ii) metabolism of glucids, (iii) lipids, (iv) nitrogen, in health and disease, and (v) integration of metabolism at the organism level.
Other information
