Main themes

To achieve the objectives set out above, the course deals with the following themes:

  • presentation of the book of the OT
  • geographical and historical frame of the old Israel
  • keys to reading Pentateuch and the Deuteronomistic history
  • basic introduction to the prophetic and sapiential literature of the OT
Aims

At the end of this module, the student will reach:

  • place the essential marks on OT in its geographical and historical frame
  • describe the thorough weft of the narrative books of the OT
  • desbribe the major characteristics of the prophetic and sapiential literature of the OT
