This course, through the Chair Inbev Baillet-Latour (the EU-China), is an introduction to the role of China in international affairs. The topics are diverse (political security and defense, foreign policy, domestic political and economic, etc.). Foncton and defined the expertise of outside guests.

Aims |
After resitue China within the framework of its integrated strategy (economic, cultural, political and military), the student will be able to understand the role, scope and operation of China in the world. The case studies illustrate the ability of China as a political actor in international relations.

Content |
Content: The course is divided into two parts. The first part addresses the issues of domestic politics, in which we analyze the institutions, civil society, minorities, the socio-economic issues, etc.. The second part of the course is devoted to foreign and security policy of China which explores, among others, the relations between China and the major powers, China and its quest for energy, the Chinese world view, politics Defense.
Method: Lecture, in the form of a cycle of ongoing conferences. The course lectures are the subject of invitations to a wider audience to which they are open
