Seminar: Spanish Literature II [ LROM2515 ]

The seminar further examines specific problems in a selection of works of contemporary Spanish literature thanks to the systematic application.

The student will receive in this seminar the grounding necessary to carry out a research task in the field of contemporary Spanish literature and to take part in a scholarly debate in this field.

Evaluation will be on the basis of participation by the student and the presentation of written and oral work.

"This seminar aims to examine how memory of History is represented in a poetical and narrative corpus of the XXIst century. We'll highlight three dimensions: 1) the testimonial voice; 2) the question of postmemory for the following generation who did not experience the traumatic period; 3) the representation of the return and its consequences for the elaboration of memory."
