Main themes

Course content: - development of advanced skills and swimming techniques - adaptations to populations with special needs - safety issues in aquatics

Aims At the end of the course, the successful student will have acquired new skills with respect to aquatics related to movement therapy and rehabilitation. The competencies developped in BAC11 will be extended and adapted to the needs of persons with a handicap (motor, sensory or intellectual). The student will possess elementary knowledge about security issues in the field of aquatics.

Written or oral examination, continuous evaluation

Content

To include/understand the specific adaptations imposed by a handicap through the exercise of various styles of stroke and displacement in the aquatic environment. Approach the techniques of rescue to ensure the safety in aquatic environment.
