Content |
The course sets out a synthesis of the legal regime of the internal market. The following items are thus covered: free movement of goods, services, persons and capital. The main rules governing the law on competition and on services of general economic interest are also covered. The main emphasis is on analysing primary legislation. The course aims to give students a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms governing the European Community's substantive law. In this respect it favours a synthetic approach, while illustrating the concepts through the case-law of the CJEC. The course is taught in the form of lectures. Students have a textbook and a case-law compendium at their disposal.
