Main themes

Introduction to survey, organization of the field works and methods of excavation. Acquisition of basic knowledge on aerial, geophysical and geochemical survey methods and on management of field works. One or two week(s) additionnal field training.

Introduction to field methods and organization from preparation of the works to the recording of the data. Introduction to survey methods.

Theoretical lectures and one or two week(s) field training.

Content

Initiation to field methods from the preparation of works to the recording of the data and the interpretation. Particular topics will be considered : prehistoric excavations, architecture, funeral and church archaeology, underwater and flooded remains, urban archaeology.
