Prerequisites

Prerequisites : students are required to have an introductory course on psychology in their main programme.

Main themes

Additional training in : research methods in psychology, the biological foundations of behaviour, personality, emotion, autobiographical memory.

Aims

This course is a prerequisite for other courses in the minor : it must therefore be taken in BAC2. It is designed to supplement the training in psychology in the major, so as to enhance understanding of other courses in the minor. As a result, it is principally designed for students who, in their main programme, have an introductory course on psychology.

Evaluation methods

written examination with questions to be answered briefly (one question per topic).

Teaching methods

There is a summary document for each of the five subject areas. Two courses are devoted to each theme. This requires students to have carefully read the summary document in advance of the session and relayed their questions and comments to the lecturer.
