Main themes The course must cover three themes : - the human side of organisations (main paradigms); - roles and missions of human resource management; - industrial relations in Belgium and in the European context.
Aims At the end of the course, students must be able to: - understand the main paradigms that are relevant to analyse the human side of organisations and human resource management; use these paradigms to apply them and interpret a concrete situation, in order to identify, finally, its strengths and weaknesses and propose improvements as a (future) manager; - identify and understand the institutions of industrial relations and understand the role that they play in management in companies.
Content Summary, content and methods The course combines lectures, group presentations, individual and group research work, conferences by external speakers. It requires students active participation.
