Main themes Presentation of each of the techniques listed in the title also includes elements of collection and processing of data. Students choose one module from FOPM 2007, FOPM 2008 and FOPM 2009 depending on their dissertation topic.
Aims The course is designed to help students develop the ability to observe and analyse reality in a systematic and rigorous way. The seminar forms an extension of the courses on Methodology of research in human sciences from the foundation year (FOPA 1330) and the first year of the Master (FOPM 2004). Its aim is to continue training for research through a specific option relating to students' own interests.
Content Students choose a module which deals with a technique for observing reality (methodological approach) both in terms of collecting and processing data, which will eventually be applied to their dissertation topic.
Other information Developing a teaching strategy adapted to adults includes the link between theory and practice, work in sub-groups, training assessment and group and individual work on making practical use of material. Illustrations from different fields of adult education and training: professional development, special education, schools, lifelong learning etc. Assessment : Final assessment is on an assignment demonstrating grasp of the theory and the ability to apply the relevant techniques.
