Main themes - To draw up an historical description of the development of APS with a special attention to social, political, economical and cultural context. - To present the major trends of historical, sociological and anthropological analyse of APS and to locate these trends in the specific field of social sciences. - To deal systematically with the appearance and the development of modern sport by presenting the major historical steps and different sociological and anthropological approaches of the phenomenon. - To deal with the real physical and sport practising bringing to the fore the homogenizing movements and the national, regional specificities. - To analyse different medium and expression (institutional and mediatical for instance) that result form and take part in the building of values and contemporary representations of APS. - To grasp (in a global, concrete and complex way) constituent principles of a code of ethic of sport (from the person viewpoint and from the people viewpoint and from the socioeconomic organisation of society viewpoint) - To propose some texts and documents that will allow the students to build a critical and personal thoughts.
Aims At the end of the training session, the student will be able to - know and analyse the historical and social context of the main development and tendencies (cultural and civilizational) of physical and sports activities - set the different historical, anthropoligical and sociological approaches of APS in the larger field of social sicences - present, in a critical and well-informed way, the fundamental aspects of historical and anthropological analyses (presented during the lecture) of modern sport development - identify the different values and representations (ideological, social, institutional and mediatical) linked to the AP and to the sport - locate constituent principles of a code of ethics for sport (in the scientific studies and social discourses) and to discuss them (from the people viewpoint and from the socioeconomic organisation of society viewpoint) - develop a critical analyse of social and ethical issues.
Content The course - Provides a history of the development of APS in ensuring the social context, political, economic and cultural - Presents the analysis of major historical, sociological and anthropological framework of the APS and those in the current diverse approaches to social science - Systematically the emergence and development of modern sport with major historical milestones and various sociological and anthropological approaches that offer an understanding of the phenomenon - Addresses the physical and sporting practices in ensuring effective to highlight the movement of homogenization and specific (national, regional); - Has an analysis (theoretical and empirical) of various media and expressions (institutional and media, for example) that result and help build values and contemporary representations (and inhomogeneous) of APS - Captures (in a comprehensive, concrete and complex) the principles of sports ethics (both from the perspective of people in terms of the socio-economic organization of society) - Offers media (texts, documents) that enable students to build a critical personal - Based on a dynamic interaction between inputs lectures (in the form of presentations, lecture notes, texts or media) and the involvement of students in a personal approach - Is evaluated in a double way: continuous assessment and review.
