Main themes |
The main goal of this course is to provide students with a series of basic knowledge blocks, to give them a top-down view of speech processing. Instead of entering the details of each problem, we give a structured overview of the area. In that respect, the course is aimed at making students able to pass a technical job interview.
Aims |
At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the basic concepts of speech processing and to discuss the performances of speech processing applications (as well for speech synthesis applications as for voice recognition applications).
Evaluation methods |
The DVD part of the course contains a detailed list of practical objectives. The written examination will be based on these objectives. No course notes will be available for this examination.
Teaching methods |
The course is composed of an e-Learning part, available on DVD, complemented by a presential part, which makes it possible for students to ask questions to the professor (and vice-versa).
