Main themes To achieve those objectives, the activity will: - approach the fundamental theology as the hermeneutical function of theology (in the sense that fundamental theology endeavours to establish a critical and reciprocal correlation between the interpretation of Christian tradition and the interpretation of the contemporary human experience); - highlight that function (developed in a special way in the two main chapters of any classical fundamental theology: revelation and faith) and its methodological consequences for any theology today; - go into the thought of an author or a specific question in depth.
Aims At the end of this activity, the student will be able to reflect on the hermeneutical nature of theology, the relationship between theological and philosophical hermeneutics, the history and the challenges of hermeneutical theology.
