Main themes In order to achieve these aims, the course will - compare the contemporary evolutions of the juridical treatment of inter-religious relations (tolerance, non-discrimination, institutionalized dialogue, positive discrimination, etc.) - with reference to international law and the State laws within three traditions: Roman-Germanic, Common Law, and Islamic.
Aims At the end, the student shall be able to identify the legal regimes of the relations between religious traditions and practices with reference to the evolution of the legislations pertaining to those different traditions and on the basis of an analysis of a public regulation of religion adapted to a multidisciplinary study of religions.
Evaluation methods

The evaluation will be made on the basis of a written work by about ten pages concerning an institution approached in a comparative way between two religious normative fields.

Content

2010-2011

The course consists of two parts : the first track the recent emergence of international devices aiming specifically the religious dimensions of the intercultural dialogue; the second part enters into the detail of questions chosen by the students and are the object every time of a thematic exchange. One or two guests also come to expose a topical question.
