Main themes The following themes will be developed : - Globalisation and the political stakes of development - Sociological theories and development : macrosociological approaches - Sociological theories and development : meso and microsociological approaches - Sociology of the actors and development policies - Special questions of development : case studies
Aims The objective of the course is to develop the following skills and knowledge : - the knowledge of the main sociological theories of development and their history ; - the capability to conduct a sociological analysis of the contemporary development processes and
Content The content of education is based on French schools and Anglo-Saxon, but also on international work (Central Asia, South America, India, Africa). Indeed, the issue of development is now up to the international community of scholars. In addition, comments based on a long experience of land central and western Asia. The teaching of the course will be inductive and interactive media presentation of film designed to stimulate thinking and action of students. Each period of course will be divided between a theoretical synthesis and presentation of cases, followed by trade and issues.
Other information The test evaluation is to write a personal work, based on readings and a case linked to an experience of the student explicitly addresses a theme related to the course. While not mandatory, a socio-anthropological "restricted" on a development theme, chosen by the student will be encouraged.
