  • Overview of the project management techniques: tasks, project plan, milestones, control points, PERT diagrams, critical paths, etc;
  • IT contracts; - Methods for cost estimation and software development scheduling (COCOMO model);
  • Resource allocation during development stages; and - Quality management and procedures: CMM and ISO models.
Aims

To understand concepts, methodological frameworks, working practices and the tools necessary for a Project Manager to perform efficiently the activities throughout the whole life cycle of a project. Specifically to focus on the managerial, human and economic aspects involved in Information Technology (IT) projects.
