Aims
Basic course;
This course aims to introduce students to the great authors from Romanticism to the present and to develop their literary sensibility.
Content
Students are introduced to the main currents in Italian literature. They should also understand the development of the Italian language from the Settecento to the present day. The course is primarily lectures. Students will frequently read Italian texts dealt with in the course. The texts will have been prepared for and discussed in ROM 2533. Students will have read Pria che passin mill'anni: storia della letteratura italiana by André Sempoux.
