Main themes - notions of ethics, morals, ethics and law : links and differences, historical aspects - ethics as an element which structures the profession - history of ethics in psychology - code of ethics for psychologists - European ethics charter - Belgian code (history and evolution) - codes in different sectors : clinicians, PMS, work and organizations, research and teaching - specific codes : transactional analysis, outplacement etc. - case studies
Aims - to examine the profession of a psychologist alongside other professions and to analyse the position he/she fulfils - to inform future practitioners about the various recommendations governing the profession, at different levels (sectoral, national and international) and, in respect of professional organizations, undertake a critical examination of the stance they adopt on the role of the psychologist in socio-economic life

Other information - a folder of documents containing the legal measures, ethical rules, main ethical principles expressed in various codes - an external lecturer is also invited to share his experiences from an ethical and legal perspective
